Calling All Youth!
Hope’s new Lighthouse youth group was formed and has recently gotten underway.
A lighthouse stands as a beacon, built on a strong foundation, upon the highest point of a shoreline, often a light in the darkness. This light shines to help us navigate and provides direction in calm waters and in stormy seas…its ultimate purpose is to bring us home, safely.
For us, Lighthouse will be much more personal …..”My Lighthouse”…..God’s GPS to give each one of us guidance, support and direction. The goal of this group is to share the faith journey with the youth of Hope. We will connect through games, music, reflections, service, retreats and worship.
Activities so far include a retreat to Timber-Lee, a trip to Wisconsin for a Chris Tomlin (Christian Singer) concert and making meals for the kids staying at Ronald McDonald House...we have lots going on! It's a cohesive, friendly group. If you are in middle school or high school, take the plunge and join us on our voyage, Sunday (or an occasional Mon.) night at 7:00 in the youth room downstairs. Come see what we are about!
